A Homeschooling Mission Statement
We believe that we should spend our lives praying for and pursuing our goal –
that we, our children and their spouses, our grandchildren and their spouses,
and every succeeding generation live as Christians on earth and live forever
with our God and with each other. We want to spend our lives working diligently
for the realization of this goal with all the strength He gives us.

Give Up Judging One Another
We must have a heart of compassion for every homeschooling family. Our children are
not all cut out of the same mold. We don’t all have the same story. We are not all walking the same path. We don’t have the same challenges. We need to quit judging one another and start loving one another.

A Homeschooling Pattern from Titus 2:3-5:

Love Your Husbands
Give him yourself and not just the dregs. Encourage him.

Love Your Children
The promise to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part is not just for a bride and groom. It is the relationship every human being deserves to have with the woman who gave birth to him or her and the father from whose seed he or she came. Children need a mother -- a soft, sweet, loving, kind, gentle, devoted, caring mother. They need a strong, kind, brave, caring, devoted, faithful father, too. And they need those two people to love each other.

Be Sensible
Only God can give your children everything they need. Pray for them and stop worrying.

Be Pure
When people accuse you of sheltering your children, say, “Thank you. I appreciate you noticing.”

Be Workers at Home
We and our husbands and children need a haven. We need order in our little corner of the world.

Be Kind
Remember that we will someday gather around Jesus and He will talk to us about our kindness toward a variety of people. Give your children opportunities to practice kindness -- in addition to reading, math, and things like that.

Be Subject to Your Husband
Respect and trust are basic to the command to be subject to our husbands.

You Are Qualified
Of all the people in the world, you are the most qualified to train your children! God gave your children to you. He loves them more than you do, and yet of all the possible parents in the world He trusts you to train your children. What an honor.

Be the Mama
Remember who you are. You are a homeschooling mother. Don’t get so bogged down in math and history and handwriting and phonics and chemistry and co-ops and 4-H and advanced placement courses that you forget to be a mother, a mom, a mommy, a mama. There is no other person on earth who can do that for your children but you. Thank God for the role. Yes, you will do it imperfectly. Just be sure you do it. Be the mama.
