I love the worldview of the prayer Jesus taught His disciples in the Lord’s Prayer. As recorded in Matthew 6:9-13:

Our Father who is in heaven, Holy is Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Let’s think about the different ideas in the Lord’s Prayer, beginning with:

Our Father who is in heaven,

History from a Christian worldview teaches that God is not only the Father of people who look and think like I do. He is the Father of all the people on earth. He loves each of us. He is truly our Father.
Concerning our Father, Jesus said:

Holy is Your name.

God is completely holy. He is all-wise, all-good, and all-powerful. He knows what is best for me to think, what is best for me to say, and what is best for me to do.
Jesus taught us to pray:

Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.

Our Heavenly Father has provided the answers to every person’s problems, to every nation’s problems, and to every problem between individuals or groups or nations. The answer is for all of us to obey His commands. History tells us what happens when we don’t and what happens when we do. We people often like to think that we can figure things out for ourselves, but God’s way is always best. The perfect solution to every issue is for every person to acknowledge God’s kingship and to do His will — all of us in every nation all of the time, just as already happens in heaven.
Jesus taught to make this request:

Give us this day our daily bread.

We can ask God to continue to take care of all of us around the world. We can ask Him to provide for every need of our own family. And, to do that for every person everywhere.
The next request in the Lord’s Prayer is:

And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.

We all need for God to forgive us of our sins. And also, people not forgiving other people has caused many of the conflicts between people and between nations throughout history. Forgiveness can stop everything from the little conflicts to the great big wars.
Jesus tells us to also ask this of God:

And do not lead us into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

History shows what happens when we do not obey God in everything all the time and when we listen to people who try to get us to do what God has commanded that we not do. God is the King of the universe. The answer to every problem in history would have been for people around the world to acknowledge God’s kingship in their thoughts, words, and actions.
